Cultivation Solutions was founded in 2023 with a group of forward-thinking gardeners passionate about plant science. Through years of working in the biochar and fertilizer industries a clear need for custom tailored solutions became apparent. Many commercial fertilizers are broad spectrum and do not target specific plants. The nutritional demands of plant species can vary substantially based off their genetics. Different varietals can have different nutritional demands as well. Our services allow for the correction of these issues by targeting the specific nutritional issues.

Adam Floyd
Co-Founder
Adam holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from CSU Sacramento and a Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He has over twelve years of professional experience in the cannabis industry with previous roles at Vermicrop Organics, General Hydroponics, The Hawthorne Gardening Company, PerkinElmer, and Think20 Laboratories. He frequently engages in public speaking opportunities in the cannabis laboratory space and is a prolific writer on the subject.
Chris Mullin
Co-Founder
Chris has spent the last 30 years doing business development, initially developing large construction projects in Northern California. He has worked as a principal and a consultant on building automation projects, large renewable energy projects and on many green agricultural projects. His current focus with Cultivation Solutions is to develop the very best custom fertilizer solutions for regenerative agriculture, organic agriculture and hydroponic agriculture.
Chris is of the belief that there is a whole new frontier for the application of Cultivation Solutions analytical technologies and custom fertilizer solutions, as far as global fruit and vegetable markets and grape production in the vineyards of California. Chris’ strongest focus is that Cultivation Solutions can help the very best medical companies across the US and the world to develop products of the very highest quality.
Sam McGuire
Sales & Business Development
Sam is originally from Ithaca, New York and attended Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont where he studied business & marketing. Over the last fifteen years, he has worked in a variety of roles in social entrepreneurship, brand building, and marketing.
In response to the 2010 earthquake in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Sam took a leave of absence from his studies and focused his efforts on direct community relief, skills development, and opportunity building on the ground. After falling in love with the country & people of Haiti, and realizing the shortcomings of traditional international aid efforts, he worked with his team in Haiti to develop a business plan to counter this. Eventually starting a social business venture paying one of the highest wages in the garment sector, while supporting a community school & safe house for victims of child trafficking with a portion of the proceeds.
In 2015, Sam relocated to New York from Santa Cruz, California where he was a founding member of a highly-awarded commercial cannabis farm and worked with the world's leading cannabis laboratory to advocate for product safety, develop new testing methodologies, and partner with premier cannabis brands to mitigate risks & better their products.
